Welcome to Grease & Glamour





  October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. To support and raise funds for local victims of domestic violence in Erie, Ottawa, and Huron counties, Foster Chevrolet Cadillac hosts this event we like to call Grease & Glamour. Each year, Grease & Glamour generates thousands of dollars to benefit these victims at the Safe Harbour Domestic Violence Shelter.

About

Safe Harbour's mission is to provide families with an alternative to family violence. They offer safety, encouragement and support while providing shelter, counseling, advocacy, support groups, and community awareness education.

All monies raised and all net proceeds from Grease and Glamour are donated to Safe Harbour, a 501C organization.

Grease & Glamour is an open-house type format. Guests may come and go as they please. To enter the event, we require no monetary fee but do ask each guest to bring an item to donate to the shelter.

Hors d'oeuvres and drinks will be provided for all guests. Everyone will have the opportunity to partake in several different activities, too! These activities include:
  • Raffles - tickets may be purchased for entry into our dozens of Chinese raffles. Winners will be drawn after the event and do not need to be present during drawing. Ticket sale proceeds benefit Safe Harbour.
  • 50/50 drawing - tickets may be purchased for your chance to win some serious cash! 50% of these ticket sales go to each the winner and Safe Harbour.
  • Door prizes - these gifts will be distributed randomly throughout the event with no purchase or ticket required. Winners will be selected from the sign-in sheet at the front door and must be present during drawing.

History

Grease & Glamour began in 2010. Co-founded by Ashley Johnston and Pat Miller, the event has grown steadily each year with more and more sponsors, vendors, attendees, and collected funds. Each year, we set our fundraising goal and use new advertising technologies to promote attendance.

Each year, dozens of local and corporate businesses generously donate time and money to help make Grease & Glamour a success.

If you'd like to become a sponsor...
We request several corporate sponsorships each year for Grease & Glamour. Sponsoring is easy and tax-deductible! With a small monetary contribution, your corporate sponsorship will provide your business with the following:
  • an 8' linen-covered table in a prominent location during the event
  • your name and logo included in any advertising
  • your name and logo included on local billboard (limited space available)
  • your business name mentioned in our program brochure
  • your business name and web link on this page
  • one complimentary "goodie bag" from the event (per business)
Along with your monetary contribution, we request each sponsor to please donate one (1) item for either the silent raffle and/or door prize giveaway. Sponsors may also provide items for "goodie bags" to be distributed to our guests, too. Such items may be business cards, pens, bookmarks, product samples, etc.

If you'd like to become an event vendor...
We invite you and your business to become a vendor at Grease & Glamour. Here's your opportunity to generate buzz about your company while supporting a great cause! Bring products to sell, provide samples, or even perform a demonstration!

With each vendor permit, you will receive:
  • an 8' or 6' linen-covered table during the event (see Participation Guide for details)
  • your business name mentioned in our program brochure
  • your business name on this page
  • a complimentary "goodie bag" from the event
